Doly Shaontoni is one of the most popular singer in Bangladesh. She has a great contribution to the Bangla music industry and in the genre of Folk music. She started her career in Radio as a child musician. She was inspired by her mother in singing. In her long career she has mesmerized her fans with a lot of popular songs.

In her Colorful life Doly Shaontoni received a lot of recognition. She received her first National award when she was just 11 years old. She received National Children Competition Award 1985 in the category of Lalon Giti. She received BCRA singer award of 2001 and 2003 as well as Meril Prothom Alo best singer of the year in 2004 for her outstanding performance. She received Dhaka Lawyers Association award, Lions club and Mitali Cultural association reception award for her contribution to music. She received TRAB Award-2004 for best audio single, CJFB Award 2004 as Best Singer, BASCHAS award 2003 as best singer, Shawdesh Cultural award 1998 for her outstanding performance, Bangladesh Cultural Reporters Association Award 2001 and 2003 as Best Singer. She also received Boishakhi Padok, Prince Media Academy Award, BARCA award as most popular singer of the year, Bangladesh Cultural Association award, Joy Jubilant Award 2017 and so on.
